Deep Breathing and focus on colors

Alexander Rauer is married and lives in the Basel metropolitan region.

Creative work has always been a part of him and for about 15 years he has been painting non-figurative artworks under the pseudonym "arauer".

For him, abstract painting is like a timelessly fascinating voyage of discovery. The focus is on the examination of material, color and texture as well as the attraction of this special relationship.

His color studies transform an emotional message to the sensual level of the pictorial. At the end of these dynamic processes are handmade unique pieces.

The simple presence of his paintings motivates him to constantly create new works.

It is remarkable how people and space reflect this artistic language.
